Routine Eye Exam -  

is a preventative vision and eye health check-up that checks for refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, and assesses overall eye health to screen for common eye conditions and diseases.  We recommend having a routine eye exam every 2 years.  This will help maintain your eyewear prescription is accurate and assess that your overall eye health is within normal parameters.

 

​Medical Eye Exam -

is a comprehensive examination of the eyes to detect and diagnose eye conditions. It goes beyond a routine eye exam, which primarily focuses on vision and prescription.  Our highly trained Doctors will recommend time frames for continued follow-up if future appointments are required.

 

Purpose of a Medical Eye Exam - ​

To identify and diagnose eye diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. To assess and treat eye injuries. To monitor existing eye conditions ​

 

Contact Lens Service -

is a specialized vision care service offered by eye care professionals, such as our Optometrists, that provide a comprehensive evaluation and fitting for contact lenses to correct vision problems or treat eye conditions. This exam includes a comprehensive eye health exam, measurements of your eye's cornea and pupil, and a tear film evaluation to assess dry eye risk.

  • Contact Lens Teaching Service -
    • ​If you're new to contact lens wearing, our friendly, knowledgeable Opticians will sit down with you and teach you proper techniques for placing the lens' into your eyes and removing them.  Our staff wants you to leave our office comfortable with inserting and removal of your eye wear. ​

 

We also offer a variety of specialty testing in our Niagara Falls Eyecare Office.
